Infringement on any of the following expectations, rules or policies will be grounds for immediate dismissal from the camp and airfield property.
Expectations of Students:
Everyone that helps with CAMP WINGS gives an entire weekend of their time for no pay. Pilots who bring in their own aircraft do so on their own dollar and for the love of sharing aviation with others.
- Students are expected to be courteous and respectful at all times to our staff, volunteers, other's property and each other.
- Students are expected to arrive on time, ready to participate in camp activities.
- Students are expected to follow all directions given by camp staff or volunteers.
- Students are expected to wear their camp shirt provided by the camp throughout the weekend.
Zero Tolerance Policies:
- Aviation in general is expensive to be involved in. With this in mind we have zero tolerance for any activity by students and / or visitors that may harm any property physically and / or financially.
- CAMP WINGS is intended to be a safe environment promoting community and a family atmosphere in the aviation community. Back Achers Airfield does not allow the use or possession of tobacco and / or alcohol by any of its students and / or visitors. Furthermore, use of any illegal substances by students and / or visitors is NOT tolerated.
Registration Policy:
Submitting your registration does not guarantee a camper slot at the camp. Camper slots can only be reserved after the camp has received $100 on behalf of the student(see Raffle Policy). Submitting your registration does, however, reserve your position on our list. We will go down the list in the order that we received each registration. When your name comes up we will give you the opportunity to reserve a slot. If you refuse a slot your registration will go to the end of the list.
Raffle Policy:
We want the camp to be little to no cost for any student interested in attending.
- Once $100 is paid for raffle tickets, a camper slot is reserved, no refunds. Money must be mailed in and postmarked on or before July 31, 2008 to receive raffle tickets. After July 31, 2008 raffle tickets will no longer be available and the price of the camp will be a donation of $100 in the student's name.
- Your packet of 50 raffle tickets will be sent out on August 1, 2008. Sell as many as you can for $2 each. If you sell them all and recoup your money your experience at the camp is free. Any tickets not sold become yours and give you a chance to win the raffle prizes to include the grand prize. Prizes will be announced prior to August 1, 2008.
- Bring all of your ticket stubs to the sign-in table when you arrive to the camp. The drawing will be held the following day. Ticket holders must be present to be able to receive a prize. Last minute raffle tickets will be available for sale at the camp and on the website, www.campwings.com.
- After we send out the tickets we accept no responsibility for lost or stolen tickets or ticket stubs not turned in.
- Any questions or problems concerning raffle tickets must be addressed by the end of August 2008. Contact Chris or Nick Hoefly with problems. Contact information is available on the CONTACT PAGE.
